What does success look like?
You look around today and see the world shutting down indefinitely to flatten the curve...to slow the spread...but at what cost?
“Lives are in danger...if you are worried about the economy you have no heart.”
Fair enough, no one wants anyone to die. But the virus is not the only one threatening lives.
Long term unemployment is endangering lives. Small businesses shutting down and sinking a family’s entire savings...destroying hope of a legacy...is endangering lives. Having to sell off one's portfolio at a massive loss in a downturn is endangering futures.
Turn on the news, all you hear is numbers.
Predictions.
Graphs.
Tolls.
Not one mention of the cost/benefit to our future...to the future of our children if we allow ourselves to live in fear indefinitely.
Is success flattening the curve but throwing the world into an insurmountable depression until another cataclysmic event resets the whole thing? Is success managing the risk at the expense of a decade of bread lines?
If success on paper is a flattened curve, what does success look like in your home? What does success look like in your community?
What does success look like?
